Has anyone ever climbed the “Y” in Provo, Utah? The monumental letter “Y” sits high up on the mountain front of Utah Valley over looking the BYU campus. It’s larger than the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles. We climbed it many times when I went to college. My California lungs were not giving me any mercy. The altitude always makes it harder to breath.
At my sons football camp they made the entire camp climb to the top for conditioning after a long hot day of camp. At the top they gave an amazing fireside about doing hard things in life and the importance of good choices. He spoke about the importance of always fighting for the things in life that were worth fighting for. He also discussed surrounding yourself with people that would help you do that. The quote he used was, “show me your friends and I will show you your future”.
Surround yourself with people that will make you the best version of you, while fighting for what matters most!
